How we price demolition →Demolition in Rainham: what to know
Rainham combines an old village centre and inter-war and post-war housing with one of east London's main industrial areas along Ferry Lane and the A13. New flats are being built along New Road (A1306) at Beam Park.
Major construction follows the A1306, where the Rainham and Beam Park Housing Zone is planned to bring about 3,500 homes to a former industrial area, next to Beam Park on former car plant land. In the older streets the work is extensions and loft conversions. Rainham Conservation Area covers the village core around the Church of St Helen and St Giles and Rainham Hall, and Havering treats it as a priority conservation area, so external works need checking first. The A13 through Rainham is a red route, where red lines prohibit stopping.
In Rainham we plan the stop before we arrive: controlled parking and red routes mean the truck can load but not wait, which is all a collection needs. Send photos of the structure and the access and we'll send a free estimate for demolition, loading and disposal. If the job turns out different on the day, with more to take down or harder access than described, we agree any change with you before we start.
Domestic outbuildings rarely need permission, but check with Havering Council if the building is listed, in a conservation area or attached to a neighbour's wall. Asbestos cement roofs are removed first by a licensed contractor.
