Skip, wait & load, or man & van?
Three ways to get rid of the same pile. The right one depends on whether the waste exists yet, where the lorry can stop, and whether you want to do the loading.

Questions people ask
Which is cheapest?
For a pile that's ready to go and people to load it, wait and load: a half load (about a 6-yard skip's worth) is £360 against £369 for the skip, plus a permit if it's on the road. For a few items, a collection: a sofa on its own is £125 with collection from outside or somewhere easy to reach. Carrying it out from inside costs £72 an hour.
When is a skip better?
When the waste is produced over days or weeks, like a building project, and you have a driveway to put it on.
What's the difference between wait and load and man and van?
Who does the lifting. Wait and load is the truck by the load at a set price: you supply the help and load it, our driver lends a hand, and the truck waits a set time. A man and van collection is priced per item and per bag, and we supply the labour: our crew carries everything out. Man and van collections run on our Tuesday and Thursday rounds, booked by 4pm the working day before.
