Skip going on the road? Ask us first.
A skip on the road, pavement or verge needs a council licence. The price depends on your council, your street and how long the skip stays, so we quote each one. Tell us where it's going and we'll come back with the permit price and the earliest delivery date.
How a road skip works
Tell us the street
The full address where the skip will sit, the size and roughly how long you need it.
We price the permit
We check your council's current charge and any parking suspension, and send you one all-in price.
We apply and deliver
Once you've agreed, we apply for the licence and deliver the skip with lamps and markings fitted.
Could you avoid the permit?
A skip on your own driveway needs no licence and can usually be delivered the next working day: book a driveway skip online. If there's no drive, wait and load clears the same amount in one visit with nothing left on the road. Our permit guide lists who issues licences in each town and how much notice they need.
No drive, no permit, no problem
Wait and load: the truck waits while you fill it, with our driver helping, then goes. Same volumes as a skip.
