Grab Hire in Rainham: what to know
Rainham combines an old village centre and inter-war and post-war housing with one of east London's main industrial areas along Ferry Lane and the A13. New flats are being built along New Road (A1306) at Beam Park.
Major construction follows the A1306, where the Rainham and Beam Park Housing Zone is planned to bring about 3,500 homes to a former industrial area, next to Beam Park on former car plant land. In the older streets the work is extensions and loft conversions. Rainham Conservation Area covers the village core around the Church of St Helen and St Giles and Rainham Hall, and Havering treats it as a priority conservation area, so external works need checking first. The A13 through Rainham is a red route, where red lines prohibit stopping.
The grab reaches about 6 metres from where the lorry stands, so the pile can stay on the drive, the front garden or the verge. For collections in Rainham, include any controlled parking, red routes or restricted loading bays when you enquire. Access needs checking before we arrange the stop. Send a photo of the pile and the road and we'll confirm the lorry can get in.
A grab leaves no skip behind, so there is no skip permit to arrange. The lorry still needs a suitable place to stop and room to operate; send photos of the road and any loading restrictions.
