House Clearance in Hadleigh: what to know

Hadleigh lies on the A13 between Benfleet and Leigh-on-Sea in Castle Point, with a compact shopping centre on London Road and housing that is almost entirely late 19th and 20th century. To the south it gives way to Hadleigh Castle and the country park, and to the north to the semi-rural lanes of Daws Heath.

Hadleigh lies on higher ground along the A13 between Thundersley and Leigh-on-Sea, with residential streets running north towards Daws Heath and south towards Hadleigh Castle Country Park. Its housing follows the Castle Point mix of detached and semi-detached houses, chalets and bungalows, with some blocks of flats. Florence Gardens is a conservation area of uniform cottages, designated in 1997 and covered by an Article 4 direction. Daws Heath is semi-rural and low-density, bordered by ancient woodland. Side access for garden waste varies from plot to plot, and flats depend on shared entrances.

For flats, tell us the floor, whether there is a lift and where the truck can stop. Carrying from inside needs to be included in the booking or clearance estimate. Every Hadleigh house clearance gets a free estimate before we start, from your answers and photos or a walk-through, so you know what to expect before anything moves.

Typical Hadleigh jobs. Bungalow and chalet clearances, including probate and downsizing clear-outs; garden waste and green clearances from larger plots towards Daws Heath; shop and flat clearances along London Road.
Or use Castle Point Borough Council's bulky waste collection

From our yard
Hadleigh is 20 minutes from our Wickford yard via the A132 and A1245 to the A127, east to Rayleigh Weir, then the A129 Rayleigh Road to the A13, so same-day is realistic when you book before 11am.
We cover
Hadleigh Castle, Hadleigh Country Park, London Road (A13), Victoria House Corner, St James the Less Church, John H. Burrows Recreation Ground, Daws Heath and Hadleigh Farm (Salvation Army)
Access
Mostly 20th-century semis, bungalows and chalets with driveways, plus flats over and behind the London Road shops; the A13 through the centre is busy and splits into a one-way loop around the church, so skips are best kept off the main road.

“We used the company to clear my late father’s garden which was heavily overgrown with sheds full of rubbish collected over 30 years in the house (hoarding). The garden was inaccessible and difficult to get into. During a heatwave Levi and his team cleared the garden back to basic as we requested which required significant work. From first contact we received professional responses and an initial timescale of availability. We then had a site visit and a further discussion on how long it would take and the cost being clear about what was involved in the costs but also confirming how the waste would be disposed of. They ensured the parking area and communal paths were cleaned following the work. We would highly recommend the company.”
